Cathleen Reis Leader is a mixed media artist specializing in semi abstract landscapes and portraits. Working from photographs and collected materials she creates intimate portrayals of her subject using layers of paint and collage, scraping and mark making, allowing earlier layers to emerge through the final composition.

Cathleen returned to her full-time studio practice after raising a family, teaching special education and counseling youth with substance use disorders. She holds a MEd in Special Education and a BA in Art Education.
