Cathleen Reis Leader is a mixed media artist specializing in semi- abstract landscapes, interior portraits, and photo collages. Her works often incorporate layers of acrylic paint, water-soluble drawing materials, and collage elements.  Scraping and mark making the canvas allows the earlier layers to emerge through the final piece.

Cathleen returned to her full-time studio practice after raising a family, teaching special education and counseling youth with substance use disorders. She holds a MEd in Special Education and a BA in Art Education.
